It has been a very busy time for some select 8th grade Exploratory Art students from SAMS.
Celebrating Youth Art Month from various exhibits.

Cailee Manzer
8th grade student at SAMS was honored with a certificate of participation in the Youth Art Month exhibit at the Maine Education Association Offices, Augusta, ME. Her artwork and other students from Maine can be viewed from now until September 2012.

Lyric Deagle and David Coombs were chosen by VSA, International Organization on Arts and Disability and Artsonia “All Kids Can Create exhibit”. These 2 students have been selected to move onto the VSA National office where one of them will be chosen to represent the state of Maine in the annual exhibition at Union Station, June 2011. The winner’s artwork will also tour the country as part of a national exhibition.

Kaleb Brown’s “, 8th grade student at SAMS. His painting of “3 Musicians” inspired by Picasso is in the “Maine Youth Excellence in Art exhibit.” His artwork can be viewed from now until the closing ceremonies on April 11, 2011.

Olivia Hale, 8th grade student at SAMS was honored with a certificate of participation in the Youth Art Month exhibit at the Portland Museum of Art, Portland, ME. This exhibit will can be viewed from now until April 3, 2011.

Emily Sincyr’s “Boston Terrier” ceramic tile art was chosen for the Maine Principal’s Association exhibit. Her work is displayed MPA (Maine Principal Association) Conference Center in Augusta from now until May 2011.
