A 3 dimensional lesson; height, width and depth. Wire was used for
the armature, paper towels and tape for the "muscle mass". Plaster
gauze was use to create the skin.
Focus was that the figure must be in movement. Guidelines were to have
the neck, elbows, hips, and knees slight bent. This is achieved by bending
the 12 gauge wire. Once the students decided on the action, they tear paper
towels and wrap onto the wire. Next, masking tape was used to "solidify"
the tape. Students embellished their creations with yarn, paint, and cloth. |
